What these grades mean
- Exceptional
- Among the very best in the country in this area. Ofsted gives it rarely.
- Strong standard
- Goes beyond what Ofsted expects, consistently.
Report cards started in November 2025 and can’t be compared with the old grades like Good or Outstanding. Most schools get a mix of grades. More about report cards.
Next inspection: around November 2029
The last inspection was in November 2025. Schools are usually inspected about every four years.
An estimate, not an Ofsted date. Ofsted doesn’t publish its schedule and gives schools about a day’s notice. The law says the next inspection must be by August 2031 at the latest, and Ofsted can visit sooner if it has concerns.
