About Schools Rating
An independent guide to the latest Ofsted inspection of every state school in England.
Ofsted’s grades changed in November 2025, and for the next few years most schools will show grades from the old system while a growing number have the new report cards. This site puts every school’s latest result in one place, explains what it means in plain English, and estimates when each school is likely to be inspected next.
Where the data comes from
- Ofsted, state-funded school inspections and outcomes: management information. Crown copyright, Open Government Licence v3.0.
- Department for Education, Get Information about Schools. Crown copyright, Open Government Licence v3.0.
We check for new data every Monday. Ofsted publishes its data monthly, so a report card can take a few weeks to appear here after it’s on the Ofsted website. The current data is as at 30 September 2026.
We don’t change or add to the grades. If something looks wrong, check the school’s full report on the Ofsted website, which is linked from every school page, and let us know.
Who runs it
Schools Rating is run by Codo Digital Ltd, a web development and hosting company in Skipton, North Yorkshire. It isn’t connected to Ofsted, the Department for Education or any school.
